ABOUT
Blakeslee's entry into the construction industry dates back to 1844 with a family run business known as C.W. Blakeslee and Sons. Recognizing the benefits of what was at the time an emerging technology, Blakeslee formed a prestressed concrete division in 1958.
Since then we have been providing customers in the construction industry with value engineered solutions utilizing precast, prestressed concrete building structures.

Our design innovation and flexibility allows us to meet the ever-changing demands of the marketplace as we continue to provide Building Solutions for the 21st Century and beyond.

PRECAST ADVANTAGE
Benefits of Precast/Prestressed Concrete to Owners
Owners and developers considering new structures must balance a variety of needs, including aesthetics and function. Each plays a role in achieving success with the finished project, and maximizing them all takes great experience and expertise. Precast prestressed concrete not only can ensure these general goals are met, but it also provides a myriad of life cycle and ancillary benefits that are hard to match with other materials.
Structural Flexibility
Precast prestressed concrete is a highly adaptive and easily erected material that responds well to site needs, such as tight locations, and the desire to blend with existing structures or site conditions.
Aesthetic Versatility
Precast concrete can mimic a wide variety of costly facing materials, including limestone, granite, sandstone and terra cotta.
Creation of Customized Components in Unusual Shapes and Sizes
Precast's ability to provide rustication and detailing as well as reveals and other decorative treatments allows it to create drama and character on any facade.
Speed of Erection
Casting precast prestressed components off-site ensures fewer problems maneuvering at the site among crews and subcontractors, which speeds their work.
High Performance Concrete/Durability
Blakeslee Prestress typically provides products with higher compressive strengths and lower water cement ratio's than those used for site cast concrete.
