Estimator
We are currently searching for an Estimator to work in our Marlborough, Massachusetts office.
Primary Responsibilities would include:
Tracking projects for prospective bidding & acquiring bid documents.
Review and interpretation of bid documents, including drawings, specifications, and other contract documents as required to facilitate preparation of detailed labor and materials estimates and proposals with detailed scopes.
Coordination with all in-house company departments at main office in Branford, Connecticut including engineering, purchasing, production, shipping, and field operations, as required to prepare estimates.
Coordination with Construction Managers, General Contractors, Sub-Contractors, and vendors as required to prepare bids.
Preparation of detailed labor & materials estimates.
Preparation of detailed bid proposals
Review completed estimates & proposals with Sales and Estimating Manager prior to bid.
Reporting and documentation of all correspondence both inside and outside of company.
Experience/Education:
Post secondary education in Construction Technology, Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering. Two or four year programs.
Good interpersonal communication skills. Both written and oral.
Some understanding of architectural and structural engineering concepts related to large commercial construction projects.
Experience and skill with Microsoft Excel, Project and Word programs.
Familiarity with BIM and 3D modeling programs a plus.
Strong organizational skills.

Field Superintendent
The Field Superintendent serves as the primary on-site project leader, and is directly accountable for safety, project scheduling, and team development on sites. This position is responsible for assisting with preconstruction, coordinating labor, and managing the project from start to finish. It is essential that someone in this role has previous design-build experience with a deep understanding and commitment to collaboration.
The ideal candidate would be a Field Superintendent with the skill set, ambition, and drive to evolve into a Project Manager.
Primary Responsibilities would include:
Attending job meetings and review activities with site controlling contractor.
Review and plan for safety, materials, Labor, and equipment required for all onsite activities.
Visiting project site(s) on a regular basis.
Corresponding with the customer.
Generating project deficiency reports.
Identify and report deficiencies for repair then track thru completion.
Coordinate and monitor Subcontractor’s work.
Generate project site evaluation reports periodically throughout project.
Responsible for all Field related reports including safety, daily, inspection, etc. and ensure all reports are forwarded to pertinent parties.
Maintain accurate and organized progress of welding and grouting operations
Sign up new hires
Drive/update schedules during construction and understand delivery and sequence of project materials and work
Document construction progress daily (including uploading photos)
Facilitate regular communications with Project Executives and Project team
Assist Project Executives in monitoring project costs and schedule related items
Hold weekly on-site foremen update meetings and safety orientation talks
Implement on-site quality control and ensure construction documents are followed
Experience/Qualification:
OSHA 30
5 years in the construction Field in a similar supervisory role as Superintendent, Project Engineer, Quality Control Manager, etc.
Ability to read, interpret, and understand project specifications, drawings, plans and procedures.
Computer skills including: Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. (Knowledge of Procore a plus)
Building with a Crane Experience preferred.
