The Field Qualification program to evaluate erection procedures and field quality control for precast concrete was introduced in 1999, extending PCI's quality performance standards throughout the construction process. Each erection crew is audited twice a year according to nationally published criteria. This qualification provides customers with the assurance that the quality of manufacturing produced by stringent factory conditions continues into the field during installation.

The PCI industry standards for quality production and erection are demanding to achieve. Once attained and practiced consistently, these standards contribute to improved and continued customer satisfaction. They have been shown to reduce both the initial and long-term costs of building for the owner as well as making the construction process move faster and smoother for all parties involved.
